"The company is very family-friendly and my supervisor has always allowed me to run my business as I saw fit, and I have always been very successful."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The custom home furnishing business is very difficult. I strongly recommend you either already have a lot of knowledge of the business or are an excellent student. You can not expect to learn everything immediately, but if applying for a leadership role, know that your staff will count on you greatly to lead and the company will rely on you to drive the business!"

"It is a retail environment requiring weekend hours which has become difficult."

"Please continue to look at the compensation structure to ensure that top performers are always compensated fairly. Continue to develop from within, and continue with the excellent training program that has been set up."
"Was never would commensurate with sales volume I was creating for the store pay was hourly without commissions and no benefits. The position was only part time could no hope for full time."
What do you like about working at Calico Corners?
"Although the job was only a part time job and it did not have any benefits, I very much enjoyed working with the customer assisting them with their home interior selection. I did very well."

"Yeah, demand benefits and compensation for sales."
What don't you like about working at Calico Corners?
"Low wages and no commissions paid on any sales. My sales were high. No benefits for part time and only the top three positions were Full Time; the manager, asst. manager and labor coordinator."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Compensate employees for sales and give benefits. I could have stayed there forever. I love working here, cutomers, the industry, working with fabrics, color, design, etc. but no future."
