"I’ve worked for CaLAmp for almost four years. The leadership team is great, and the vision for the company provides promise. There is constant restructuring which results in layoffs and hits to the employee morale."
"I worked for CalAmp from Sept 2017 to Mar 2019 as the Director of Enterprise Applications. The Oracle Cloud project was completely initiated by me from scratch. Although the project started out well, mid-stream, it faced many challenges with (Oracle) product availability and lack of good consultants/Oracle professionals. The ability of management to understand the reality and magnitude of such ERP implementations got challenged several times. Simultaneously, the company performed poorly in the market and faced severe financial constraints resulting in downsizing in which some executives and key personnel were let go and my position got eliminated. Although the organization is a Technology, SAAS company, I believe it is still struggling to get a handle on how to turnaround the financial performance."
"I have worked for CalAmp a little over two years. The company is going through internal struggles and is trying to find its way."
"Hostile environment. This might only be my experience in my group, but it seems like in-fighting and office politics is the norm. Personal accomplishments are hardly noted unless you actively market yourself. Expectations, roles and responsibilities were never fully clarified, which is overlooked until there is a problem, in which case it is pushed to the workers rather than management. Multiple resources will be assigned to the same or similar roles with some being provided work, and others left in the dark with nothing to accomplish. Despite positive encouragement from Management, layoffs are frequent. Some even occurring within a few short months of each other while everything appears optimistic."
