"I joined bwell with the plan of playing a key role in a tiger team in Austin that would address the many years of technical debt accrued by their offshore development team. Continuing funding delays put off that plan and I instead worked on funded projects and other ancillary tasks. When the funding finally arrived the plan had changed and there was no leadership role for me as the other Austin-based backend developers had been dismissed. I fell quite ill in March 2020 and while I attempted to get back to work in early April, I was unable to focus due to constant headaches. I was dismissed in mid-April for no stated reason but presumably due to my bad health (which has fortunately improved over the summer.)"
