"A business is only as good as the people it employs, and without wishing to sound boastful I believe that I am the best candidate for your recently advertised Assistant Project Manager vacancy and am submitting my resume for your review and consideration. I am someone who is willing to put in the hard work and commitment needed to determine a course of action that effectively manages a projects risk, time, cost and quality. In my current position I support two project managers by maintaining their schedules ensuring all materials and subcontractors are available at the appropriate times and verifying that all local permits have been obtained as required. Being competitive by nature, I have developed good interpersonal relationships with city officials, subcontractors, equipment rental agencies and clients for whom we work allowing the job to progress smoothly and avoiding down time because of poor planning or lack of communication. I believe that working in a team setting is the best way to successfully complete projects on time and within budget.
