"Browning Pools was a great place to work, but it was not stable and does not offer me a chance for and opportunity in a corporate environment."
What do you like about working at Browning-Ferris?
"I like the people I worked with. Everyone was very family oriented. When I was released from my job for a seasonal layoff and was not brought back, it was like losing all my brothers and sisters."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is a great company to work for if you are very committed to your work, but dont expect it to be a stable job unless you are the one making minimum wage. You can defiantly get lots of overtime if the company is making money. And make sure the whole company is selling pools."
What don't you like about working at Browning-Ferris?
"The upper management (VP President) was not very considerate of his actions. He gave me a 3 day notice of leave, instead of a month notice like everyone else. He told my manager to let me go and went on vacation. I could not approach him face to face until he came back. It was not very professional. His brother who also is part owner of the business did not like his actions either."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"In a corporate world a manager could sit in his office and do nothing for most of the day besides give permissions to lower management, but in this small business the upper management needs to be more evolved with the activities and daily business."
