"I only worked for Brighton Coulson for about nine months as they were still in their infancy and trying to find their way. The principals of the company had deep roots in the residential building and construction management services sector, and their team was growing. I was brought on as a Project Manager but the saw that my skill set and the experience were more suited for Business Development than for overseeing a construction site that was moving along at a snail's pace. Due to the competitive nature of our business and their personal financial situation, I was switched from an employee to an independent contractor and subsequently I bought a new, more stable opportunity outside of the Bay Area."
