Engineer

"I'd say I was seen by management as an expendable and disposable employee."

What do you like about working at Branch and Associates?

"I was given freedom to do my job without much interference from project superintendents"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't expect them to stand behind their benefits promises. Get everything in writing up front. Get a company truck as part of your hiring package because they'll run the tires off yours if you use a private vehicle."

What don't you like about working at Branch and Associates?

"Some of the superintendents would not listen to my reccommendations. Also, the employee benefits do not kick in until after 2 years of employment. The upper management finds a reason to lay off personnel after 2 years so the benefits are not given. If they need the employee to come back, they'll rehire after 90 days, and the benefits won't become effective until after 2 years (again). Evidently, there was a class-action lawsuit filed (or threatened) because I received a settlement check 2 years after my last layoff with them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Use engineers instead of carpenters or masons when you promote people to project manager/superintendent positions."
