"It's a very old company founded in 1793. When I have joined 5 months ago, I landed on a big mess in the development. No development life cycle, no CI/CD, manual branching and old technologies from my grandma's time. On top of that they had stacked technical debt and we got a lot of pressure from up - meaning short deadlines. I have managed to deal with all of it and modernized a big part of their system including the creation of CI/CD, Pipelines, Code standards, Code reviews and Moving away from old technologies by rebuilding them from scratch. The people and the team are good and capable, but with all of what I have mentioned above, I feel we are a bit understaffed for the whole migrating process. I don't mind continuing and getting things to where they should be, but it is way more convenient for me to start somewhere from scratch, on clean table or somewhere where all of those parts are taken care of."
