"Be honest and work hard to impress. Then work hard when you get hired. Seasonal work."

"Does not cross train. Need to train employees to do more jobs."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"More training is needed if the company wants to save money. Needs less outside contractors."
What do you like about working at Alliant Energy?
"The people that I worked with were great. It was like a big extended family."

"I would recommend asking questions about what the future opportunities are available."

"The company was interested in building a new power plant and wanted it to be coal fired."

"They need to be more in tune with the plant staff."

"Individuals not showing up for the sales demonstration, it can make one jaded if they are marginal employees."

"Look at the whole history of the employee, not just his/her specialization, we are the sum of our parts."

"Always keep up on maintaining the plant."

"They helped pay for my college degree. I liked the hourly people that I worked with because they knew the process well."
What don't you like about working at Archer Daniels Midland?
"I had a MBA and I could not get a management position with ADM. Other employees with no college degree would get management position before I would. It was to much of a buddy system there and that is the reason that I left."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Communication at the facility needs to be worked on. Your people will allways be your best assets and you need to listen to everyone at the facolity"
