"Unless you are part-time so it’s not a full focus and you like the selling then go ahead. Between the unhelpful managers and zero support, you’re doing a lot of fending for yourself. The work environment is very toxic and unsettling. It’s kind of a hot mess, there’s no real room or support for growth."

"I was hired on for Seasonal support for the 2020 Holiday Season, and so far my experience has been wonderful. The company has a huge focus on Customer Service and ensures the store is properly staffed to deliver their Customers’ and Colleagues’ expectations. The team members are very supportive and engaged in producing optimum results. The culture is diversely inclusive and management is always available to address your needs. I gave this a 4-star review because there are not many full-time positions available and had anticipated an offer as a permanent hire after the season. Overall it has been an enjoyable experience."

"I've worked for Bloomingdale's for 10 years and have had the privilege of seeing it evolve over the times. From my experience, I have seen the executive team stay for more than 20+ years. They haven't adapted to change as quickly as other companies do and are still pretty focused on Store business services, not on technology or the online business. They aren't very cutting edge in their tools, resources, culture mindset, and aren't strong in career curation. The people are nice, but the senior leadership doesn't listen to their people, and the HR teams are still quite antiquated in their skillset and processes."

"I've worked at Bloomingdale's for two years. After I graduated college I went into the Executive Development Program. Bloomingdale's values their employees. After one year I was promoted to a business manager role. I have learned a great deal from managing three departments and working with experienced professionals!"

"There was a terrible Short Hills store manager who they say was finally fired. So what do they do, they hire one in her place who is worse. She is rude, aggressive, not helpful, demeaning, demotivating and a conceited elitist. No one can stand her and we talk about it all the time. Can't understand why a big company like this can't recognize poor managers."

"The company has many strengths and good people, but there is also a lot of room for improvement and the employees should definitely be compensated differently."
