"I loved my time at Birthing Your Way! I spent my time setting up for, and cleaning up after births in the birthing center and in client's homes. Being there, assisting the midwife during a delivery is a magical thing. I also did home visits in preparation for a home birth, and 1 week check ups on mom and baby. While I was there, I was trained to check for dilation and effacement of laboring mothers, and certified in Neonatal Resuscitation. The only thing I didn't like about my time there, were the middle of the night calls to a birth. It was hard on my family, having to leave without warning and not knowing how long I'd be gone."
