Senior Software Development Engineer

"Everyone I still know at Biosense Webster never knows if they'll have a job from month to month, very flaky environment to work, career growth is based on who you know, not what you contribute."

What do you like about working at Biosense Webster?

"J&J has deep pockets and resources for working on projects."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The name on the building sounds good, sounds impressive, the building looks great but the reality of what goes on in the building is something different. If you want to know what the environment is like, look at the turnover/layoff rate and what it looks like from someone on the inside. In one year I counted a 32% turnover rate at the Irwindale/Diamond bar facility."

What don't you like about working at Biosense Webster?

"Extremely political environment, people are constantly afraid of losing their jobs, this situation gets taken advantage of. Because J&J has such great potential opportunities, people cling to their jobs when they may bail on a less lucrative organization. Every year around the Christmas, it's layoff time, and people are shaking over who it will be to get cut. The Irwindale facility is pretty much controlled from the Israel facility with little say over what happens at the local Irwindale facility."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Change!"
