Route Driver

"Pros: Instead of writing a negative review under pros subsection here, I would stop by saying do not leave your current job to work at this company. Cons: To begin, company has a fleet of Aerocell SRW and Aerocell CW gasoline and hydraulic brake vans. These have curb weight of less than 6500 lbs and load capacity of 3000 lbs. Well within the range of a Class G driver. However company is asking a DZ class drivers in job descriptions for its drivers, but normally any hire G class driver. Beware there is no dispatcher to call for. We were told to call the receptionist who has no idea of that line work or training a dispatcher has. Transport regulations require employers to provide a dispatcher in any commercial transport. They must have found a way to circumvent this requirement. However vehicles have those annual and semi-annual safety stickers. Go figure. Then the route I had takes about 10-12 hours depending on day, to complete. However, no more than 8-hours overtime in a two-week period is considered as “legal” overtime. That means, no matter how long you had to work, the maximum allowed overtime will be 4 hours a week. Keep in mind it is practically impossible to complete the work in an 8-hour time slot in any route they have (but you must complete the work assign or you will have to do it in your own time... yes you read it correct). There seems a discretion in upper levels to limit what they will pay (part of their work ethics, I was once told by an employee). Can they do it and get by? Go figure."
