What do you like about working at BioScience Writers?

"I really enjoy the flexibility of working with BSW. I can accept or decline work according to my schedule, I get to work at home, and the expectations are always communicated clearly. The staff are very responsive to questions and I am paid for the time I spend making a document perfect. I get to work on a wide variety of manuscripts although most fall comfortably within my expertise. This company exudes a sense of quality in the way editors are treated and product that they strive to return to clients."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"BSW is owned and managed by an active scientist. The owner and staff are rigorous during the process of screening new editors so be prepared and do your best to get a position here. They are honest, fair, and have followed through on all of their commitments to me, so it is worth some effort to convince them to accept you as an editor."

What don't you like about working at BioScience Writers?

"Because I work from home as a contractor, I don't interact with the staff on a daily basis and get to know everyone there on a personal level. I would enjoy that opportunity because all of my interactions with BSW have been so positive."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"As I understand it, all of the editors at BSW are contractors. I would like to be considered for a full time staff editing position so I suggest that you add that type of position to your operations staff."
