"My love for it is having such a direct link to business improvement, isolating issues with data, optimizing performance, creating a flexible reporting environment. Developing SQL, stored procedures, using DQS, Powershell, and C#. Capability of building own components, learning new technologies and businesses. My hate..hmm, a strong word, and one I would not use. There are less pleasing aspects of all work. such as being forced to work on a project which has already been poorly designed in terms of either the dimensions, facts, ETL process, etc. Or working in an abusive environment, but that would be true of any career. Or a project w/o executive backing"

"I do not like the constant sprints, the abandoned efforts, and the over-reliance on heroes."

"You know, if everything is an emergency then NOTHING ever is. Really."
