"Make sure you tour the facility and understand the schedule. It is very hard to have a personal life working 12 hour overnight shifts."

What don't you like about working at Berry Plastics?

"12 hr on and off shifts make it impossible to take ownership of anything. You turn over the building to the other shifts for 2 and 3 days at a time and, when you return, it is like starting everything over again. Many coworkers were very sophomoric and backstabbing - the worst I have ever experienced."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Move to a more traditional work schedule. Clean the entire plant."

"I love working for the company. I wish there was a communications department at my location!"

"Management at our specific location is wonderful and all of the managers have taught me a lot and helped me grow as a person."

"focus on the Evansville site for advancement., their are great jobs and opportunities that can spring board your career through great experiences"

"recognition, consistency, pay, politics, benefits, communication within team and network"

"consistency, better employee feedback, communication, less politics, better benefits and value placed on experience"

"Since Berry bought this plant employee morale is at an all time low. Eliminating bonuses, forcing them to work holidays such as Christmas. Management always interfering with your work. It became a terrible place to work."

"I have worked there since August of 2012 and I have not seen any movement to upgrade or automate and still using PLC 2 which are about 35 years old. They treat people like they were machines, not human beings. The morale is low and people quit left and right. They do have a high turnover ratio and therefore the remaining people are forced to work twice as hard."
