"I worked for Bentley Systems for two years. The work is fun and challenging, and most of the colleagues are wonderful. The work is also flexible and can work remote any time. The cons have to do with management's inability to use developers well, as well as shady and unclear compensation practices."

"I've worked for Bentley Systems since 2018. I've found it to be a good company with good ethical values and an emphasis on customer retention."

"It used to be a decent place, now it is a madhouse. Management is mostly old-school; they ignore data but go with gut feelings. The biggest concern is watching each other's backs; business comes second. My last manager was incompetent and verbally abusive, but no one cared. He belonged to old boys club and could do anything he wanted. I worked in support and could see quality of products rapidly declining now that development is 80% oversees (India and China). It will take 1-2 years for users to realize how bad it is."

"I enjoy working here and the people I have worked with have been great, good company to start your career path on technology and software. There seems to be a disconnect between groups, some groups have it better than others one way or the other. Lately, outsourcing has become a common theme in order to reduce costs, some offices have been closed and some layoffs as well in order to favor new hires/new offices in areas where cheaper labor is available, like Mexico, China, and India where in India has become seems to be more aggressive when it comes to hiring. New hires have been added for specific groups on those markets, none have been added to the US on those specific groups. This is a bit disconcerting for employees who have been here for a while when it comes to job security, also the company is pushing employees to take a reduction in salary/pay in order to accommodate incentives at quarter or year-end if the company does well that year/quarter, but this is optional and has not been enforced, or it is not clear if it will be at some point. For all those reasons, although it is a good company to work for, the future seems uncertain and bleak when it comes to the US growth."

"Poorly handled major restructuring of the organization in December. Many good employees are now leaving due to resulting chaos. Leadership is forcing employees to opt-into new pay structure (less salary with higher incentive portion) or be denied opportunities. Sales are in decline, changes to billing procedures resulted in loss of customers. Revenue is dropping with no real strategy to recover. Family owned business with aging leadership. Lack of diversity in US locations. I'm guessing they will sell to competitor soon. Many employed here are waiting to lose their jobs in yet another layoff or looking for a new job."

"Good company with great products but they are not too willing to work with indirect partners and that makes complicated to be passionate about that department. For direct sales, marketing and product development is a great company."
