"Cosmetic Consultation 101 at Dillard's."
What do you like about working at Dillard's?
"The environment. I enjoy just being around cosmetics in general, but I also like what I do."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Always just be yourself."
What don't you like about working at Dillard's?
"The room for growth professionally is very limited and small. I need to be with a company that will allow me to do so more openly."

What do you like about working at Sephora?
"I liked working with all the different brands and the training was really good."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"To really take into consideration that they won't get to be their own person."
What don't you like about working at Sephora?
"I didn't like having to ask permission for things like leaving your zone and having to go to the restroom. Coming from working on your own at department store make up counters to then having tabs kept on you constantly was suffocating and I felt like it hurt the customer. I feel Sephora shouldn't stiffle people's creativity by making them follow such a strict dress code. They are so diverse in brands they carry and I felt that their cast members should also reflect that diversity."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I felt that management at my location treated cast members too much like they were beneath them. If they had taken more of a same level teamwork approach, it would have made for a much better work environment. I think that the store director should also hold their leads to the same standards that they expect their cast members to have."

"open for career advancement; working with women to help better themselves"

"takes alot of extra time--and commitment--sometimes away from family"
