"Good relaxed work environment. Time estimations are done by some other people than your own manager or team, which is not fair. And they are not serious about meeting the deadlines!!! I find it strange. They are overall OK company to work for."

"The place uses old CPUs and expects miracles on a below average salary."

What do you like about working at Blue Cross Blue Shield?

"I like the flexibility of being able to come and go as I please."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be engaged. Know what you are talking about and if you do not, be honest and just explain that you haven't had a chance to work with that but you would love the opportunity."

What don't you like about working at Blue Cross Blue Shield?

"I dislike the below-market value salary, the way they push people to perform miracles on a daily basis, the fact that getting test data is a huge thing which can and has taken up to a month, the lack of direction, and the leadership and accountability between teams and within team."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggest better planning for the design and scope approaches. Also, realize that consistently working 60-70 hour work weeks without overtime or comp time is not a great way to keep people happy, and that, if there is that much work, perhaps more people should be hired."
