Product Support Representative

"This review is below par at best; requiring much needed work from upper management to see new talent other than close relatives/friends."

What do you like about working at Bayer CropScience?

"The opportunity to learn new products and be hands on direct with customers using the Bayer brand."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Before interviewing ask yourself what your five year plan is. If it's to stay in the position you are interviewing for; then you maybe satisfied. However, if your long term goals differ from the short term; make sure a plan is mapped out and your questions are geared to your long term goals as well. You may get vital information that will alter your decission making."

What don't you like about working at Bayer CropScience?

"Although a very huge company, you can get lost in translation. Too many clicks that may go with the tied of managements suggestions, but not necessarily ultimatums."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Sometimes talent lies within a company and not from distant relatives. You may get more productivity from an individual who wants to prove him or herself rather than lay back because an Uncle is VP of a division. This can be extremely dangerous for the company and soundness of the work environment."

Senior Analytical Chemist

"If the site was not closing and I didn't move to the USA I would still be there! great company."

What do you like about working at Bayer CropScience?

"The responciblities I was given eventhough I was a contract employee. They taught me so much and let me get involved."

What don't you like about working at Bayer CropScience?

"That I knew the job was going to end, as the site was closing, no job security."

Plant Specialist

"I worked for Bayer Crop Science for 1 yr/9 mon & as the work proceeded my supervisor had less & less time available to communicate with me, so the work was under detailed because he had too many responsibilities to take care of that he had trouble knowing exactly what he told me to do & what not to do, the work got strained."

Science Teacher

"Don't do contract work for this company until the culture around it changes. As is, there are a few good full-time employees managing these 'temporary workers' but the reality is that 'temporary' employees have no track to hire, are given duties outside the scope of their contract, and are subject to termination at any time for any reason. With all of that aside, it's a great place to learn more lab skills or whatever else, but meanwhile, you have no/poor health insurance, no 401k, and you will never, guaranteed to be hired full time from a contract position. The only way for that to happen is for you to literally leave the company, go 'full time' i.e. non-contract somewhere else, and then come back and maybe then get hired 'full-time', in other words as an employee as the United States social contract actually recognizes it."

"I worked for Monsanto right before the merger with Bayer. I focused on modernizing their infrastructure in the LATAM region. They were focused on investing in their company as they grew more reliant on data and information. Expect their team to seek out data scientists in the future."
