"Webtab is the worst job I've ever had in my life. To say there are management problems is similar to saying that the sun is hot. The work environment is toxic, there is little to no ACTUAL communication going on, even though the project manager "communicates" frequently. (Read: he micromanages every aspect, even when he himself has NO idea what he's talking about.) The mobile lead is a clueless bigot that can't produce a line of tested code to save his life, and he's a liar to boot. No one there is willing to listen to suggestions, nor do they want to change things for the better. Expect to work on days off, after hours, and during vacations. The management expects that you will, and even they if pressed, they will TELL you that they don't expect it, their actions say otherwise. I put in countless extra hours, and was rewarded with being fired 3 weeks before Christmas because I had "worked from home too much" in November. They didn't care that *every* single day I worked from home was because the train wasn't running, and there was no way for me to get to work. I also had unrealistic deadlines imposed on me - even after I said, "There's no way I will be done by that deadline", I was repeatedly told that was the deadline. (I was the ONLY Android engineer working there, and was having to port from the existing iOS app that was a complete mess.) The architect couldn't provide me with a list of API's that the app uses, and was reluctant to give me access to the repository so I could actually look for myself. I was able to figure it out myself from looking at the AWFUL iOS code, but it was a complete mess. Suggestions at improvement on the ridiculous API were rejected out of hand. The company moved offices shortly after I started there. We went from a large space with multiple private areas available to us, to a shoebox sized office with a few private areas that we weren't allowed to use - they "belonged" to management."
