"I have been working for this employer since 2014. Because my duties are extensive, I have listed them below for your convivence. This is a pretty cool place to work because it has a relaxed atmosphere and dress code. If I wasn't looking to relocate to the D.C/Virginia area, I would not be looking for another position. My duties are as follows: Conduct administrative pre-trial hearings with custodial parent (plaintiff) and non-custodial parent (defendant). • Gather information from the parties to determine issues of the case. • Obtain, verify, analyze and document financial information from the custodial parent, non-custodial parent, employer, financial institutions, private and other government agencies, health carrier, and others needed to calculate child support under Maryland Child support Guidelines, Maryland Code Annotated, Family Law & 12-21-201. • Perform duties related to establishing paternity and child support orders, negotiating agreements for child support payments and health insurance coverage and maintaining and enforcing the collection of current and past due amounts; instruct and directs the work of child support workers. • Provide administrative support to the Head states Attorney for BCOCE. • Experience with e-filing documents on the MDEC system. • Establish two of the four performance measurements mandated by the State of Maryland Department of Human Resources. • Gather pertinent financial data, calculates and explains Maryland State Child Support Guidelines' worksheets to parties and state child support recommendations. • Negotiate voluntary settlements and arbitrates other terms and conditions of court order. • Prepare court order, obtain signatures on court order, decide effective date and calculate amounts of child support arrearage; determine amount to be paid on arrearage in accordance with State of Maryland law. • Complete wage withholding order; forward signed court orders to judge for approval"
