"I worked with Aviva (now Athene) for 3 years as a consultant before being hired as employee for 4 more years. During this time, the company quickly went from a very supportive environment, to seeing employees as an expendable resource. There was little to no support from management team. For example: VP of HR told our team if we were stretched too thin, to let her know and she would decide which projects needed priority and which could be postponed. My manager immediately took her up on this, asked her what we should make our priorities. Answer: "All of them.""

"I worked for Aviva Canada Insurance on contract for nearly 2 years. Insurance is a regulated industry and sometimes I had difficulty accessing the systems that I needed to perform my duties. As well, processes were also highly restricted. Overall the experience was OK. As Sr. test lead I got the opportunity to work with most of the major stakeholders of projects which I enjoyed."
