Working at Avatar Partners in Huntington Beach, CA: 1 Employee Reviews

Avatar Partners Employee

"There's not an easy place to start with this backwards-ass company. This company is run by a bunch of monkeys that don't really have any interest in running a legitimate business--they're only concerned with saving as much money as possible while using government-funded money to support their rental property management company and nannies to take care of the CEO's kids. The CEO thinks so highly of herself that she'd rather face lawsuits from corporations instead of paying her own employees the money that they're legally owed. Unfortunately, money doesn't solve all the world's problems. On more than several occasions, business professionals that operate legitimately have figured out her idiotic BS and have left her company on bad grounds. The CEO has had a background in SALES which is great for getting contracts, but as other reviews have stated, which I'm sure you'll be able to find easily online, the CEO "sells contracts but does nothing to support them." That statement couldn't be more true. Everything about the company screams "cheap," from the Ikea desks everyone has (oh, but the CEO? Her furniture is custom-made), to the oddly-coded software that hardly ever seems to work, to the company's new building which is conveniently located next to a set of train tracks in a poor area of town. Never mind the constant company restructuring (consistent layoffs, mysterious firings, and strange political actions), the "remote" positions for "administrative assistance" which are really just nannies in disguise, or the very convenient "hire two, fire one" policy that seems to happen pretty frequently. Never mind the CEO's mysterious absence when business professionals are laid off."
