"Avanade is a place for the politically savvy. If you cannot stomach playing politics daily to ensure your place then you should not work here.People are extremely two-faced and will eat their young to get ahead. If you do not have thick skin then do not bother working here. You must be prepared to work with people that will give you praise and play the game but will be the first to pass the buck should something go wrong. You must always CYA or you will get PIP'd and/or fired. No one will admit to any wrong doing. You do have the ability to work remotely 75% of the time if you are not traveling constantly. Most of your team you will never meet face to face as all teams come from all over the US and abroad."

"I worked in Avanade as Solutions Consultant and then as Senior Consultant. I chaged many customers' projects working in several industies. The company paid my studies in order to obtain the Micorsft Certifications and finally i gained an experience which allowed me to be in a management role."

"Avanade is hands down one of the best companies to work for. You get loads of experience in different environments and on different projects, you get the resources to raise your skills to the next level and you get so many fringe benefits it's ridiculous. The only downside is that you often get put on Accenture projects which are typically high stress and heavy workloads... but you take the good with the bad. It's worth it!"

"I love the culture and work environment within Avanade. You can feel that the company is looking out for what is best for their employees. Sometimes it feels like they focus too much on how their parent companies do things instead of focusing on how Avanade can lead the way in many areas."

"Pretty good company to work for. They support their engineer with mandatory training requirements. (That's a good thing!)"

"Betterment begins with being open to feedback."

What do you like about working at Avanade?

"The talented and professional people they were able to bring on board. The travel opportunities at the time - gets old not having a structured life after a while."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Fun company to be a part of. Be ready to be flooded and have lots of time to dedicate. Better to go contract before FT."

What don't you like about working at Avanade?

"Strong leadership willing to stand up to customers and stand behind employees, opportunities for advancement, career sponsorship, long long hours, disconnected sales and delivery teams."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Recognize talents within consultants to help them progress into areas that will be best for them and the company. Grow consultants into sales leaders. Take a sincere interest in finding the right place within the company for individuals. Provide more work life balance. Pay more competitively and provide bonus structure."
