"Avalex Technologies: One of the worst places you will ever work. Let's start at the top. CEO - The CEO and owner will attack you with personal insults and berates instead of constructive criticism. His leadership style (if you can call it that) is based upon belittlement, yelling, and coming in at the last minute of a project to make major changes which should have been established in the nonexistent planning phase that Avalex Technologies desperately needs. If he wants his company to succeed, he needs to get out of the way and let people that know how to lead, lead. Management - There are two managers that have been there for quite a while. They are good at what they do. The rest of the management positions are vacant or filled with rather new people because the company cannot retain or hire good talent. The average time a new manager spends at Avalex Technologies is about a year and a half before they cannot take it anymore and get out. HR - HR does not have the best interests of the employees in mind and is highly under qualified to say the least. Rather, HR is more of a mouthpiece of the CEO that makes empty promises. There is no official training program at Avalex Technologies for people to learn to build new products or operate new machines. So much knowledge is word-of-mouth that if a few key people leave, the company could be paralyzed. Employees - This is the one good part about Avalex. There are some pretty good and smart people that work here. Most people are just stuck in a bad situation until they can find a better company so, you bond over that shared pain. All in all, unless you are hard-up for money and cannot find any other job to pay the bills (seriously, even serving is a better job than Avalex Technologies), or if you just really love being personally berated and undervalued, do not waste your time at Avalex Technologies."
