What do you like about working at Automotive Credit Corp.?

"Not a whole lot any longer. Currently, I like that we no longer are responsible for the hardware itself, that we have outsourced that responsibility to a third party vendor."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Yes. Until this company replaces several key members of the management staff, don't bother trying to get a job here."

What don't you like about working at Automotive Credit Corp.?

"We are all considered simply warm bodies that are interchangable with other warm bodies, without regard to our actual talents. Furthermore, managment doesn't understand how difficult our tasks are, expecting that all of our tasks will take a very short period of time, too short to actually accomplish the task, despite being told repeatedly that their deadlines are unrealistic, then they turn to external vendors, who tell them the same thing, and they hire the 3rd party vendors, at quadruple the price it would otherwise cost them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Actually LISTEN to your information technology staff. When they tell you something will take 4 weeks to accomplish, don't ignore that timeline estimation simply because you don't like what you're hearing. We in the IT department tell you how long something will take, and we don't pad the answer. We tell you EXACTLY how long it will take. If you then reduce the amount of time you allow us to accomplish the task, you are effectively cutting us off at the knees."
