"Author Solutions offers some great opportunities but they need to re-think their sales model to actually focus on the needs of the customers instead of just churning people through the machine. If we treated customers like people we would be a much better company, have a better standing in the marketplace, and be a place where people enjoyed working. Hopefully we will continue to grow in this area, continue to act as a company (and not just a sales support team), start offering good benefits (competitive health coverage, 401k matching, etc), and start attracting and hiring good talent. Need to put people in charge who know what they're doing (not just some finance guys) and are focused on more than just the bottom-line (or top-line, or whatever line it is that they are unnecessarily focused on)."
