"Great first job out of college, and it provided me with so many varied and diverse engagements."
What do you like about working at PwC?
"I liked the experience and diversity of the client assignments. I learned a lot about different types of accounting systems and methods. I saw first-hand when things went really wrong with very poorly run clients and how much better things run in very well-managed companies."
What don't you like about working at PwC?
"The opportunities for advancement became harder and harder as your years of service increased. As a third year auditor, the next step would be senior, and for every open senior position, there were at least four people ready for that spot. You either moved into a senior position or you were out."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"A major public accounting firm offers a terrific experience for someone fresh out of college. The only criticism I have, based on my experience at PriceWaterhouse, was that the partner should monitor his managers better to watch and prevent some of the abuse of power that was exercised freely."
