What do you like about working at Cambrex?

"My co-workers were phenomenol, and the Production Staff was a lot of fun to engage with. The PhD Chemists were all very knowledgable and enjoyable to work for, and they were some of the brightest individuals you could ever hope to meet."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be very careful about what you might be getting yourself into with employment at Cambrex - Charles City. It will serve as a good reume builder, but not a place to retire from."

What don't you like about working at Cambrex?

"Cambrex wanted things done to a very tight, just in time, schedule (Production, Analytical, Shipping, Turn-around Time, etc.). They were not above cancelling employee vacation requests and Holiday events to get the product out the door, many times disappointing the Customer. Those in the QC/Analytical Departments were forced to give up their own personal/family/vacation times on a regular basis to adhere to impossible Production requests. (Note: There is/has been an overwhelmingly high turnover rate at Cambrex, with many people leaving on short notice."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Allow people to do their work, let them have time to have a personal life, and show everyone the same amount of respect that you'd expect. Very strenuous work environment; controlling atmosphere."
