"FAR better (and much more mature/professional) than any civilian job I've had, so far."

What do you like about working at United States Marine Corps?

"This was a very professional environment. There is continuing education on critical issues, like tact, professionalism, etc."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ensure that you really want to join the Corps. Working to earn the title, Marine will probably be the hardest thing that you will EVER do. I was discharged 10 years ago, and it still is the hardest thing I've ever done. ...I have a graduate degree from one of the best schools in America."

What don't you like about working at United States Marine Corps?

"There is not enough understanding, as far as employees wanting to pursue university education. The severity varies from unit-to-unit."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Learn to THINK, before you make decisions. Experience has NOTHING to do, with what you will get from an employee."

"It was very open minded about my schedule with classes. The staff was very friendly and helpful."

"Is not a path I choose to follow and it is difficult to grow in it."

"Open Minded but strict on the job. A more macro management approach but when necessary micro management in order to get the work done"

What do you like about working at Arizona State University?

"I was very fortunate to belong to a organization, that being Fletcher Library and not ASU in general, that promoted continuous professional growth and fostered personal interests. They were a very supportive group of people and the folks at Fletcher were among the best to work with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Wait until ABOR highers a new president before applying."

What don't you like about working at Arizona State University?

"The current university administration has turned the university into a very hostile place in which to work. They operate out of fear and brow beating."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None. As mentioned, Fletcher Library was a great place to work and I do miss working there, but ASU in general has become an employee's nightmare for both the support staff and faculty."
