Senior Field Service Engineer

"This review is real & coming from an almost 10 yr veteran in lithography systems"

What do you like about working at ASML?

"It is a leading supplier of Lithography machines & the level of stress at work goes up with the standing in business. It has the state of the art equipment that other competitor cannot rival."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"First you have to be white or at least have a Caucasian blood & born in the USA. Second, you have to research & establish rapport with an employee or have a friend & relatives who can give the interviewer a god positive input about you. Third, impress your interviewer of how much you knew about Lithography & chip making theoretical & actual experience. Fourth, don't worry they'll hire you if you're white & came from the navy even though you don't have any idea how a laser or a control systems work. They hired a lot of navy experience guys without enough experience & knowledge in electronics principles so be proud of your military service."

What don't you like about working at ASML?

"ASML employees especially management are mostly racist. I was the most senior lithography service engineer in the Bay Area & I saw how the supervisors there rooted out all asians & middle eastern employees when economy started to dwindle. The supervisor Alen Worth laid me off instead of lesser experienced person because I am asian & not born in the US of A. People who cannot even understand how control systems work were kept while I who trained even senior levels was kicked out. I was the last asian who got laid off by David Knott & Allen Worth whom I used to train myself. Connecticut manufacturing management is even worst. I was collared by one senior engineer there because I am asian & wondering & looking how other equipment were put together when I was training there. I wanted to fight but all white workers were watching & I am worried they were all going to beat me up real hard if I fight. I don't recommend working for ASML if I (an asian, hispanic, or any minority) can find any place to work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to look deeper on the behavior pattern of their supervisors, managers, & employees. Racism is an illness of society that prevents talented individuals to contribute their best for the good of the company. It is a terrible tool used by incompetents & misfits in the company who wanted to get ahead or propagate into their careers without exemplary skills & knowledge as compared to their minority counterparts."
