"Pitiful company. When I first started at ASCD the company had just started their decline. They have no mission or purpose, and over the past four years they've become even less relevant in education. From the most dysfunctional management I've ever worked with to the most insane amount of wasteful spending, the company was destined to fail years ago. No one has any accountability for anything, and when something goes wrong it is always the other person's fault. As I said in other review boards, ASCD is a place you go to kill your career. It's a dead-end, no-opportunity, non-free-thinking environment people should avoid like the plague. I really do wish I could say something positive about ASCD, but there really isn't any. And the benefit of working for a nonprofit is that the benefits are supposed to be great in exchange for less-than-average pay. Not only has the pay decreased since I've been there, they've slashed all the benefits. The benefits are now far superior at inferior companies over ASCD. I've not read a single positive review about ASCD. Look at Glassdoor and other sites. You won't find any. The place is a wasteland."
