"I've been in this business for years and find the regional manager and upper management incompetent, with no clear direction, seems all they are worried about is sales reports and more reports to department heads. No training for anyone, no local inventory, and no clue what to stock, basically running branch empty.. horrible micro-managing"

Fundamentally dishonest compensation/salary description. Advertised as salary with bonus opportunity, real draw against commission. Commission is 99% unattainable in this market."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do not work for this company if you want to have your idea taken seriously, if you want to hear VP's of operations being ridiculed and cussed at out loud. DO NOT work for this company. The owner has NO respect for people. I have never personally been ridiculed, but I heard it and see it all the time."

What don't you like about working at Applied industrial Technologies?

"In all my over 25 year plus in Engineering, this was the WORSE run company EVER. No manager's run any operation, it is ALL run by the owner, is way ONLY."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The owner has to let the people he hires run the business and quit micro-managing it."
