"As the EW Sergeant serves as the EW Master Trainer; supervises and performs military action involving the use of computer intelligence to determine, exploit, reduce, or prevent hostile use of the electromagnetic spectrum; provides technical assistance to support units; maintains and assists in developing the Electronic Warfare Staff Estimate; oversees EW Pre-combat Inspections/Pre-combat checks. The EW Sergeant assists and coordinates with the S2 on Electronic Preparation of the Battlefield (EPB); coordinates with the S6 for spectrum deconfliction; disseminates Common Operating Picture (COP) and EW information; prepares and coordinates the Electronic Warfare appendix to the operations order; develops EW input to Target Products and participates in targeting meetings; analyzes the relevant situation and predicts needs; recommend countermeasures and assesses friendly capabilities and missions in EW terms; I service as the principal enlisted assistant to commanders and as staff NCO for major commands at Brigade-level and higher."
