"There were very few, if any, opportunities to advance. Someone had to quit, be fired, or die before you had the opportunity to advance. I made my own way and found niche areas where I created a new positions to fulfill business needs."

"Create a tiered (banded) environment within IT where each discipline have opportunities for advancement within the job scope."
