Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Count your fingers after you shake hands. Pay's good if you produce; don't believe much of what they tell you about being a team member, career path, etc. You're an enlisted man/woman and are treated strictly at arm's length."
What don't you like about working at American Power Conversion ?
"Most everything ... late to market on new products. A lot of former Navy; you are treated like enlisted men, not equals or collaborators."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Drop dead (I was laid-off after 5 year over-quota performance and strong annual revenues ... then again, I was an enlisted man.)"
"Two years behind the competition -- work there only if you have to."

"Money was good; paperwork not too bad."

"Make sure you've explored a lot of other options before you sign on the dotted line. It is an adequate place to work, but not a nice place to work. You will NOT get any pats on the back for a job well done."

"Backward military management style -- top down no feedback if you know what's good for you (a lot of former nuclear navy)."

"Rethink your product development, compensation and marketing. That's all ..."
