"Great company, outstanding benefits and retirement (RRB), work rules, vacation, sick, and personal time make it even better."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"They haven't hired one in Michigan since 2007, so don't hold your breath. Whatever position you apply for, never say you like trains."

What don't you like about working at Amtrak?

"Never know if the company will be around in a year."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Regional management, none. He does an outstanding job. Upper level is beholden to Congress, so what can you do but shrug your shoulders."
