"I was the sole administrator of a HPC cluster for the museum. It was a challenging role because I didn't really have anyone else to collaborate with. Also we often had problems due to a lack of funding for the machine room infrastructure."

"Mostly the prestige of the American Museum. As the worlds largest Genomic Research Facility and the top destination (online and off) for American Anthropological Exhibitions, it was a stimulating and challenging concept. This was enjoyable."

"Smile, shake hands, and polish your understanding of how to deliver value to a company through presentations and virtual meetings. The more effective your delivery, the more opportunities you will have."

What don't you like about working at American Museum of Natural History?

"A great deal of the employee pool, and the decision process, was based on obscured information or personality based directives. As a quantitative data analyst, and as a solutions engineer, this is a very tainted environment to create avenues to progress."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My best suggestion would be rebuild an entire management structure based on proven, and researched credentials from the performance track record of employees being hired. There are multiple job titles and scope of expertise being used by individuals in a capacity which they are not qualified to support."
