"Don't work here"

What do you like about working at American City Business Journals?

"The experience was poor overall, but there is not a lot out there."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't interview here. It is a bait and switch. Make sure to get them to talk about required event attendance in the early mornings and late evenings , actually setting up dining tables with promo materials - ie folding flyers - and working at the event . You will not get to network with those invited. You are an event worker."

What don't you like about working at American City Business Journals?

"The experience was poor overall. Most of it was using the company's 'awards' to sell papers to people."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Define what you are. This is essentially an event and an awards company."
