"After 5 years, I left because I just was not sure what they really accomplish. The Hope Lodges and Road to Recovery help people. The call center offered good support. But the rest of it is smoke and mirrors. Loads of controlled messaging and image management. Really dig in, and you will be surprised at how little they help locally."
"Perfect working environment and great supervisor"
"I've worked for American Cancer Society. The company's mission and objective are great, however there is a lot of politics at the upper level and no room for growth for employees. Working from home is a challenge at first, but once accustomed you learn how to have a balance between work and home lives."
"I worked with the organization for 10+ years. The Society is focused on raising money to support cancer research and patient information. All positions in the Society have a fundraising component. Good place to work if you are passionate about eradicating cancer."
"I worked for the ACS for three years. They simply do not treat their employees well and require overtime for free. It was not worth it, even though the company does great things to help people."
