"I am amazed to have super talented people around me.I loved having ownership in my tasks."
"Amazing place to work and develop your skills. But that might not be good for earl stages of your career where you are looking to develop a lot of breadth instead of specific roles."
"I've worked for AWS as an SDE Intern for a period of 3 months. I was handed over a project that required me to use my analytical abilities and Software Development fundamentals to the maximum extent. The team, work, and culture at AWS are really great. I would definitely recommend one to join and work for t his company,"
"Good learning environment but also quite siloed and difficult to achieve a meaningful impact without campaigning for support."
"Review of Amazon in Seattle, Washington."
"AWS is a great company to work for, especially if you are looking to cut your teeth on novel, never-before-seen issues. This is something I personally valued as an attorney, since I chaffed at the notion of relitigating (not literally) the same questions repeatedly. If you like to learn and be curious, this is a good company for you. The only downside is, sometimes, managers don't always prioritize professional growth. Thus when people succeed and want to challenge themselves further, there isn't always a clear pathway up or forward, so it feels like a lot of lateral movement."
"I have worked at Amazon for my summer internship. The experience is quite challenging, especially if you have no prior work experience. Since, I worked in an intern capacity I can't say much about what it would be like as a full-time developer. Also, it depends on where you are placed (ORG) and team. Manager and mentor also play a large part in your internship experience as they define the work culture."
"Good place to learn and grow."
"Good place to work with challenging problems."
"I've worked with AWS for many years now, on both sides, and I can say that they are an excellent fit for anyone looking to start their cloud journey, or who have years of experience with it."
"A company with established cultures and processes. Its Seattle-centric culture may challenge bay area developers from startups."
"AWS is a rewarding, but challenging place to work. You will be immersed in its services and learn how they integrate to form whole solutions. If you are looking for a face-paced work environment, a place where you learn very quickly -- this is the company to work for."
"AWS is one of the fastest moving and most technical environment where I worked under. It was fun to be able to work with some of the most intelligent people in the Cloud Computing Industry. Everyone was extremely knowledgable with their domain. However, I believe the company is lacking the culture of providing coaching for future leaders."
"I have worked in AWS for three years. There are very smart people working with you. It really helps me improve and grow fast."
"I worked as an Associate Software Engineer for almost 2 years at Accenture. My projects during this time involved working on developing microservices using React and Node.js which taught me about teamwork, client collaboration, prioritizing tasks, etc. My recent summer 2019 Internship experience at Amazon Web Services, Seattle( HQ) taught me about system design, distributed systems, and cloud-based services."
