"They do not promote based on merit . I am a black man who had been working at Altec for Six years and they laid me off and hired a white woman to take my place"

"Stop firing all the blacks...... This Company is full of white men. Upper management needs some diversity.... THERES NONE !"

"Because of the current state of the economy, Altec has been significantly downsizing and job security is on the downfall."

"My manager gave me freedom to pursue personal growth opportunities in addition to company goals. The atmosphere is fun and humorous."

"Don't be afraid to show your light-hearted side."

"There was a lot of politics and manipulation. Job security is very weak. The company seemed to be making a move to outsource all engineering work."

"There needs to be a better working relationship between engineering and marketing."

"With a small company comes a more home-like feel to it. You know everyone and what is going on all the time, and makes you more involved."

"Do not interview with this company. I have many years experience and have never seen such unbelievable conduct."

What don't you like about working at Altec Industries?

"Company had a LOT of turnover at the management and professional level. Current management does not have the experience necessary to lead. Professionals are treated poorly."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to be completely replaced with trained professionals that have the experience and respect for their peers...or they need to stop hiring professionals!"

"Coworkers other than management are great. Health insurance is good."

"If you like being paid less and working more then you will like working for Altec. It is very easy for a college grad with little to no work experience to get hired."

What don't you like about working at Altec Industries?

"Raises do not keep up with inflation. Vacation policy. Night shift and weekend rotation. Management expects more work with little pay."

"Listen to your employees. Hire management that actually knows what is is doing."
