"Aluminum Line would order trucks for pick up the day before in anticipation of production getting done on time, which was rarely the case. Quite often, trucks would show up for their scheduled pick up, and production would still be running parts for their orders. This lead to detention times in getting the drivers loaded and out the door, but would be questioned by the Shipping Manager (who was also the Production Manager), or by the VP of Operations, as to why we had detention times on the drivers."
