"I've worked for Allegion under an 800-hour contract as a Process Engineer. The company had recently constructed an anodizing line within the plant. My job was to support the anodizing line by improving the process flow of the coatings department's brushing cell, which involved parts being pre-treated before being anodized. The projects which I was exposed to involved designing brushing motor sub-component parts, building a six sigma, lean manufacturing shadow board, installing a return conveyor to support the brushing machine, and communicating with suppliers to implement pop-up transfer conveyors within the brushing cell. My time with Allegion granted me lots of tooling experience, CAD design work, project management and leadership roles. Unfortunately, COVID-19 terminated the contract prematurely. Allegion had an environment of knowledgeable and friendly personal. Overall, I loved being hands-on with the technical design and physical construction of my projects. Expect a healthy balance of on-the-floor and behind the desk work with Allegion."
