"The company started out great with catered lunches once a week, monthly events in the office with snacks and drinks. Once the company was purchased by a venture capitalist firm, things started to change. It became more clear as things were transitioned that pay was bonus based on that being lead from sales. If sales had a bad month, well you see. Soon following many features were starting to be fazed out, company events were canceled, holiday parties were no longer the same, venues got gradually worse. Some employees who were in the select group to support a specific client got special privileges. I personally witnessed a couple of employees from this group who went out for lunch and got drunk and returned to work. The company also allowed other employees to not show for work for days on end, leave when they wished and some even came into work smelling of pot smoke. This was well known to management but never addressed."
