What do you like about working at Aldi?

"I love the 'family' mentality. It is a small group of hard working individuals. It is just NOT in my field. The job itself is what I cannot stand. The people and the pay are great."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Just understand that Shift Manager is a position you can rise to fairly quickly... but the only other position after that is Manager and that could take years... and there is no where else to go from there. You MIGHT get to be a warehouse distribution manager 15-20 years down the road if someone else quits but that is a rare position to see open and most every other manager will be fighting you for it."

What don't you like about working at Aldi?

"The hours. You MUST be available 5AM to 11PM and cannot ask for any specific days off each week. The schedule is almost always different week to week and you only get the schedule about a week in advance. No time to plan anything in the distant future not accomplish any major task you have in mind."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Nothing. I have no problem with the way AldI is managed and run."

What don't you like about working at Aldi?

"AldI have alot of inexperienced District Managers that makes the job more difficult than it really is.They change company rules and policies to fit their own expectations. I think the DM should be more experienced and actually have some sort of past experience. Straight out of college isn't good enough."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"A manager should be professinal at all times. A manager should pose great customer service skills and should be a people person. A manager should be intelligent and able to conversate with all group of people. A manager should have the ability to coach his or her employees at any given time. All people or persons should feel comfortable to speak freely to the manager and should feel comfortable to express new ideal that would help improve work performances."
