What do you like about working at ALCO Stores?
"I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the manager in the store I worked for.. George Vonderwell.. He was very understanding and helpful as a first employer for me.."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Do not underestimate the small town store aura.. Alco is worth it's salt and degrading it will only cause problems in the work place.. Be aware that being a cashier is not a stopping point.. Aim higher once you have experience.."
What don't you like about working at ALCO Stores?
"There was no room for growth at all in the company.. At least there wasn't for me.. You needed to be somebody before you can acheive anything.. It's a vicious cycle in most every company I know of.."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"For the management at Alco I don't have any advice at this time.. It's been quite a while since I worked for Alco and when I was there I cannot recall having any suggestions.."
