"I was a service supervisor for a mid-sized county in Alabama. Our primary goal was to ensure all children were safe. My job was to ensure my workers met with the children monthly and provided services to families so they would no longer need the agency. I enjoyed my time with the agency because I love helping families. So times, they make poor decisions that result in the agency’s involvement but are receptive to services so they can be assisted. While I enjoyed this job, it was very demanding. The pay was decent but it caused you to work excessive hours and be away from your family for an extended amount of time. It is definitely difficult if you have children because at any moment an emergency may arise which will result in you making arrangements for someone else to care for your children so you can help those families."
