Software Developer

What do you like about working at AgileTek?

"The environment is conducive to professional growth; as an employee, you are consistently challenged to learn new technologies, and to share your knowledge with others. The people they hire are generally interesting and pleasant. This is a good company for somebody starting out, as they are willing to hire people with limited experience. The interview is almost entirely based on the results of a Wonderlic IQ test."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Take a few practice Wonderlic tests before you go in for the interview. Also, the management tends to prefer applicants who exude ambition and a willingness to put in long hours."

What don't you like about working at AgileTek?

"There really isn't any job security. AgileTek does software projects for major healthcare manufacturers, but the company's partners seem to have trouble finding leads for new work. The compensation is below average for Chicagoland, and the dental and vision benefits are particularly weak. Also, the hours are incredibly demanding. I should point out that I am writing this near the end of 2009, and many of these observations could be attributed to the weakened state of the economy."
